But those people are losers because I’ve got a VehiCROSS and it’s AWESOME.
Stopping at Wendy’s on the way home.
Safe and sound in my driveway.
I’ll have more pictures and a first impressions blog tomorrow, but spoiler alert: it’s probably my favorite thing I’ve ever owned.

What’s with the headlights? Are they blacked o ut?

Some delightfully early 2000s GTO covers. I forgot they were there and removed them when I got home.
I won’t use them, but I kinda like that I have them for some reason.

Nice, glad you like it. I suspect meeting heroes from the late ‘90s is considerably safer that meeting them from ‘70s/’80s.

Hey, all that matters is that you’re happy with it!

I was about to make a comment about blacking out headlights, but I noticed that your previous posts didn’t have blacked out headlight, so I figured I should ask.

This is good Oppo

Do NOT meet your heroes from the 70s and 80s.
Although tbh if you have heroes from that time frame, why?

Japan and Europe made some interesting, if slow, cars during that time.
I grew up in the malaise era though and it scarred me.

There aren’t many American cars from the era I’d like to try out. And yeah, across the board, there are a bunch high-end sports cars that are now in the slower than a modern economy compact territory. There are of course others that are considerably better than that, but even many of those are in the category of slower than those underpowered Toybarus.

What a unique vehicle you have. I’ve wheeled with one before, good times, around 2007 .
Vehicross pulled out by Jeeps
My jeep pulled it by vehicross.
And more photos
You have a lot of potential on your hands, enjoy your unicorn

Awesome sauce. I almost bought one about 15 years ago and still regret buying a LR Freelander instead.

I don’t know why people would do it or use these covers...they made the headlights totally useless on my trip home. My dad was driving my wife’s Escalade behind me and I got way more light from that than from the covered lights on the VX. Much better with them removed, obviously.

I now regret every automotive purchase I’ve ever made that wasn’t a VehiCROSS.

VX goals right there. Its got a ways to go, I need to do some stuff just to make it streetable, but even in its flawed ‘sitting around for six months’ state its so awesome.

I keep looking out my front window to make sure its there, can’t believe I finally got one.

Polyvance , formerly Urethane Supply Company, makes a coating that is easy to use and actually will adhere to that cladding...may even have the exact color. It’s outstanding stuff. Prep is just cleaning and taping.

There are very few cars from that era that are even remotely quick by today’s standards.
And people will tell you that all you have to do is remove a lot of the smog equipment to make them quick, but even that is limited to the V8 cars - which are mostly heavy pigs anyways, with a few exceptions.
